Kingdom Come: rescue is sort of a traditionally correct Skyrim - this large-scale, first-person medieval RPG takes place in a very huge open-world dedicated to the real-world history of the geographic area (no epos here). In some ways in which, it's even a lot of hardcore, husking away the Department of Housing and Urban Development indicators and minimap markers you have most likely come back to expect from large RPGs. And astonishingly, quests and world events can stick with it with or while not you, adding a true sense of urgency to your hero's actions; stopping to chit-chat with each government agency might mean missing out on the disturbance battle of a period. Kingdom Come's refusal to carry the player's hand seems like a refreshing modification of pace, and if the finished product will achieve the type of grandiose living world recommended by our preview, it ought to be one thing special so.
